Video and media platforms
From upload to searchable, subtitled video
Video sits next to conferencing and learning in everything we do. We build portals that ingest, transcode and publish footage, stream live sessions, and turn recordings into transcripts and subtitles.
Pipeline
A media pipeline that runs itself
Video portals
Public and private video libraries with categories, tags, chapters, an embeddable player, podcast feeds, physical archive records and Dublin Core metadata ready for Europeana-style aggregation.
Transcoding on queues
Chunked browser uploads or YouTube imports are transcoded by FFmpeg to 720p and 1080p H.264 through queued jobs on Horizon, with visibility rules for guests and logged-in users.
Live streaming and recordings
Conferences streamed to external platforms with monitoring, and cloud recordings collected, stored and shared under retention policies.
Transcription and subtitles
A Greek-language transcription pipeline with speaker diarisation and on-screen name recognition, plus a subtitle translation workflow that exports corrected captions straight to VTT.
A note on Zoom licensing
Medion7 does not resell Zoom licenses or subscriptions. We only provide services that use the Zoom infrastructure through our own applications and APIs.
Powered by Zoom. Zoom is a trademark of Zoom Video Communications, Inc.
Example
The SYZEFXIS II Network Video Portal
For SYZEFXIS II, the Greek public-sector network, we built the video portal at svs.ddt.gov.gr, where publishers upload footage, the platform transcodes it, and visitors browse by category, chapter and map location. First delivered on Laravel 8, it was modernised to Laravel 12 with Nova 5 and Inertia without interrupting service.
Working with a lot of video?
Whether it is a public archive, lecture recordings or event footage, we can design the ingestion, processing and publishing flow around your needs.
